- 1. How can you justify selling Big Tasty when it containts nearly half of an adult's recommended daily calorie intake, plus many of your customers are poorly educated and may not understand the implications?

The Big Tasty is a promotional burger that makes an occasional appearance on the menu. The burger is popular with customers with bigger appetites, and McDonald's doesn't make judgements about any of its customers. However, the company offers comprehensive and straightforward nutritional information on all of its food to help customers make informed choices about what they eat. It's available in restaurants on the reverse of trayliners, and online at www.mcdonalds.co.uk and www.mcdonaldsmenu.info.

Firstly apologies for the slow reply to your question, there have been some recent technical fixes that have been carried out on the site which caused a slight delay in answering your question, but the things are back on track and thank you for your patience in waiting for your reply. Now, McDonald's is glad to hear that you enjoy the chicken burgers. However, is surprised that you don't enjoy the hamburgers as much. When it comes to the seasoning of the beef patties, only a pinch of salt and pepper is used to give a subtle kick to the meat. This helps balances the taste of the other sauces and condiments used in the sandwiches such as mayonnaise, ketchup, BBQ Sauce and other flavours that are used on promotional burgers such as the Big Tasty. Speaking of the Big Tasty, this sandwich is one of the juiciest and thickest burgers on the menu. Unfortunately, as it is a promotional sandwich it is only available at certain times for a, limited period. Although all is not lost, the classic Quarter Pounder is always available on the menu and the patty used is thicker than others such as the Big Mac.

McDonald's is glad to hear you enjoyed the Arch Deluxe and the Big Tasty. Unfortunately there are no plans to return the Arch Deluxe to the menu, whilst the Big Tasty has just finished a promotional run hopefully you took advantage of this offer at the time. However, if you missed it- the Big Tasty is a popular promotional item and will be returning to the Menu in the future, so keep a watchful eye out. Thanks for your questions. You will be happy to know that the Big Tasty will, on occasion, make a return to the McDonald's UK menu. With regard to the steak burger, are you referring to the Steak Premiere or the Deluxe burger? The limited Deluxe burger was a promotional item and the Steak Premiere was taken off the menu because it was not very popular.

Even though it was popular and remains on your menu in countries such as Sweeden. This appears to be a discrimination against the British Big Tasty Fans (the BBQ burger is no comparison)

In the UK the Big Tasty is a promotional item and from time to time may step down from the menu to make way for other McDonald's promotional products, this is order to give customers a wider range of choices. The exact composition of this sauce is a secret, however the ingredients are as follows: Vegetable Oil, Water, Sour Cream, Egg Yolk, Sugar, Flavourings, Modified Maize Starch, Salt, Spirit Vinegar, Onion Powder, Yeast, Yeast extracts, (contains Sunflower oil), Extracts, Maltodextrin (wheat), Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Paprika and Spice Extract. For more information on all other menu items and nutritional information are available online in 'Eat Smart' section of www.mcdonalds.co.uk under the 'Nutrition Counter' section. The secret sauce is exclusive to the Big Tasty burger and is only available in McDonald’s restaurants. However, the Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with Bacon are back on the menu for a limited period so grab one while you can.
