1. i would like to know what foods that you do are vegan, if any? i have been eating your spicie veg meal recently but have not checked if it is vegan? please let me know if it is. if it is not please tell how it is not? i look forward to recieving your answer. if nothing else i can still drink your coffee! i do appreciate your waterless urinals however. london
Thanks for your question and for your feedback on our waterless urinals, we always welcome feedback on any improvements we make for our customers. McDonald’s does not claim to have anything certified as vegan on the menu. However, there are various items on the menu that are suitable for people on a vegan diet, such as the French Fries, Hash Browns, Oatso Simple with Sugar or Strawberry Jam, Garden Salad, Fruit Bag and Carrot Sticks. You can find ingredient declarations and nutritional information for all McDonald’s UK menu items by visiting the ‘Food’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. You may also like to access the Vegetarian Society website (www.vegsoc.org) where all McDonald's vegetarian approved options can be found. The following sauces are suitable for vegans: Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Spicy Tomato Salsa, Sweet Chilli Sauce/Dip, BBQ Dip, Sweet & Sour Dip, Sweet Curry Dip. Smokey BBQ Dip contains honey which you may wish to avoid. With regards to the Spicy Veggie Deli Sandwich – the Spicy Veggie patty contains absolutely no ingredients of animal origin and is cooked in 100% vegetable oil. However, due to the design of the oil filtration system there is a small chance the oil used to fry vegetable patties can come into contact with oil used to cook chicken and fish products during the oil filtering process. We therefore cannot guarantee cross-contamination will not occur. Also the Ranch sauce used in this sandwich sold in all areas except the Tyne Tees region contains free range egg yolk and buttermilk and is therefore not suitable for vegans. The sauce used in the Tyne Tees region contains free range egg again making it unsuitable for vegans. (January 2011)

3. Why do you keep scaling back the choice of toasted deli sandwiches available. I have enjoyed a number of the sandwiches you have done but the best ones always seem to be removed from the menu or replaced with something similar to what is already available.At the moment its either chicken varieties or vegie. Are there any plans to introduce new sandwiches other than chicken?
McDonald’s is sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the range of deli sandwiches available. Although McDonald’s try and keep the menu as varied as possible, some products are removed if they are not very popular with the majority of customers. However, it goes without saying that customers’ tastes are very important to the company, and McDonald's works hard to accommodate them all as best as it possibly can. Currently there are no immediate plans to introduce new fillings for the deli, although McDonald’s is always adjusting the menu, so this may very well change in the future. If you’re not keen on the Chicken Deli flavours, then why not try the Spicy Veggie instead? Or if there is a particular deli filling you would like to see back on the menu, then you could register your enthusiasm by getting in touch with the Customer Services team. 4. Why can you only get vegi deli's on white bread now? You used to have a choice to have it on brown bread.. I thought you are meant to make your food healthy when possible :(
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, due to a change in procedure there is now only one deli roll in the system compared to the white and brown rolls, which were previously offered. The new roll is the only roll that can be purchased and is a white roll with flecks of wholemeal flour. (June 09)
