I know that you have stated that root beer was removed from the menu due to poor sales but obviously a lot of your customers are unhappy about this. Listen to your customers and introduce it back onto the menu if only for a trial period.
-
McDonald's Root Beer does have a little bit of a cult following with customers and your passion for the drink has been noticed. There are no current plans to bring it back at the moment. However, if more people show the same passion as you it's possible that you may see the Root Beer back on the menu in the future.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 6. Why don't you introduce new soft drink variations such as Dr pepper or Irn bru?
-
Firstly, McDonald’s apologises for the late reply to your question. It’s busy, busy here at Make Up Your Own Mind and the team are working hard trying to answer them all.
McDonald's is always reviewing its menu across food and beverages. Irn Bru is widely available in Scotland, but research revealed that the demand in other areas was not high enough to consider it as a permanent menu item. Dr Pepper is very similar to a drink McDonald's previously had on its menu called Root Beer. This was also removed due to its lack of popularity. However, with new drinks such as Tropicana Orange Juice, Bottled Vittel Mineral Water, Organic Semi Skimmed Milk, Fruit Shoots, plus McDonald's classic Milkshakes and Coca Cola Zero available in selected restaurants, there is more choice than ever.

-
This shouldn't be the case. The Hot Chocolate recipe hasn't changed and should still have the same great rich taste. If you feel that this is not the case, please let the restaurant manager know, or contact the Customer Services team via the 'Contact Us' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 9. I heard you were trialing Innocent smoothies as a drinks option - is this true? If it is how did it go and if not are smoothies a possibility? I am cutting down on my fizz intake and so find it hard to decide what to drink. The only option is a tiny bottle of orange juice which is nice enugh but waaay too small (and don't mention still fanta - YUCK) I want something pure healthy & refreshing even if it means paying a little more.
-
The Innocent trial is still running in a selected number of restaurants and is part of the Happy Meal menu options. Although it is not advertised in these restaurants, customers can purchase these outside of the Happy Meal options at an additional charge. If the trial is a success, then there is a strong possibility that smoothies will become permanent additions to the McDonald's beverage choices.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 10. Is it true drinks and fries come in much larger portions in the US than in the UK?
-
In the US, the ‘Small French Fries’ are slightly smaller and the ‘Large’ slightly larger, but the ‘Regular’ is exactly the same in both countries. However there is a much bigger difference in the size of drinks cups. In the US drinks are almost twice the size of their UK equivalents.
DECEMBER '07 UPDATE: McDonald's French Fries are now fully accredited by the Vegetarian Society. (December 2007)

Can we have some different flavours of carbonated drinks please. I emailed this request to the McDonald's UK site but they thought I was proposing a business idea for new drinks and said they couldn't accept my idea! I just want more variety of fizzy drink!
-
McDonald's is sorry to hear about the mix-up. The company is keen to provide the best drinks available to its customers. Drinks such as Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta are some of the most popular drinks in the UK as well as in McDonald’s. However, in recent years, McDonald’s has also introduced new drinks to the menu such as Tropicana Orange Juice, Robinsons Fruit Shoot, Vittel Mineral Water and Organic Milk. If you would still like to see other drinks on the menu, then contact the Customer Service Team by using the ‘Contact Us’ link at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

-
McDonald’s stopped selling root beer some time ago as this wasn’t popular enough with UK customers to keep on the menu. However new drinks which have proved popular such as Tropicana orange juice and semi-skimmed organic milk have been added to the menu to give customers more choice and variety.

How about getting Caffiene free diet coke in your restaurants, either in post mix form, or in the 500ml bottle form?, as there is a growing number of people like myself with an intolerance to caffiene. It would also help promote a healthier image, as you are already doing.
-
Currently McDonald’s UK has no plans to introduce caffeine-free Coke on to the menu. If you would like to put your specific requests forward to McDonald’s you can give the Customer Services team by visiting the ‘Contact Us’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk - the company is always keen to hear new menu suggestions.
