- 1. Hi, i was just wondering when McDonald’s 100th store was opened in the UK? And also when was coffee first introduced in UK stores?
-
Thank you for your question. The 100th McDonald’s store to open in the UK was in 1983 in Market Street, Manchester. With regards to your second question, the McDonald’s Cappuccino and Latte were both introduced to the UK menu as permanent items in 2001 and freshly ground Full Bean coffee was added to the McDonald’s menu in 2004. Furthermore, in January 2007 McDonald’s became the UK’s biggest retailer of coffee from Rainforest Alliance certified farms – meaning that 100% of McDonald’s coffee is sourced from farms which meet the Rainforest Alliance’s social and environmental standards.

-
Thank you for your question. In 2008 McDonald's UK used 176,000 tonnes of potatoes in its French Fries and Hashbrowns. With regards to the price of a McDonald’s UK McChicken Sandwich, unfortunately we are unable to provide a definitive price as prices may sometimes vary between different McDonald’s restaurants according to whether they are company owned or franchised stores. However prices for all menu items are displayed in each restaurant.
