1. please tell me why the standard of macdonalds food is so awful in the uk?? my family & i have eaten macdonalds in tenerife, mainland spain & france & we couldnt believe the quality compared to the uk.also in france the happy meals come with a pudding(yoghurt or fruit bag) as standard why do we have to sacrifice the fries or pay extra for this in the uk??
Firstly McDonald's apologises unreservedly for the late reply to your question. There were some technical problems which caused some questions to slip through. Regarding your question; McDonald’s feels it has to disagree with your comments. Many people in the UK enjoy McDonald’s and the experience that they have in the restaurants. In fact, around two million customers visit McDonald’s UK everyday and that tells the company that customers enjoy the taste of the food. However, if you ever feel that you have received a below par meal please do not hesitate to contact the Customer Services team on 08705 244622 so they can investigate any issues on your behalf. With regards to France's Happy Meal menu, McDonald's UK regrets it cannot comment on other countries' menu decisions, but it does believe the UK Happy Meal offers great choice, quality and value for money. If you'd like to know more about Happy Meal quality, please visit the 'Focus on Happy Meal' section of this website.

2. I think it's a great idea that you are putting a fruit option in happymeals now. However, don't you think it's a bit of a contradiction to have them come with caramel sauce? I do realize it's the customers choice to use it, but don't you feel as an enormous company where a large portion of there customers are kids, that it should be up to you to set an example for healthy eating? Drowning the fruit in caramel defeats the purpose of getting apples in the first place.
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all. Thank you for your question. However, the Fruit Bags available in the UK are not served with caramel sauce. (July 2007)

4. I recently saw a McDonalds advert advertising Carrot Sticks and a apple and grape fruit bag. When I went to my local McDonalds restraunt in Halifax they did'nt sell carrot sticks or a apple and grape fruit bag they sold cucumber sticks and a pear and grape fruit bag why is this?
McDonald's is constantly reviewing its menu options and in particular its Happy Meal items. Currently there is a trial being run with cucumber sticks, plus the pear and grapefruit bag that you mentioned. If the trials are successful these new items may well be introduced to the menu in the future. (August 2007)

5. Fruit bags - great idea and we buy them as often as your supply policy allows. However, this is not too often because they are not available. I've never known McDonald's to run out of fries! Where are the priorities?
Fruit Bags have a limited shelf-life, unlike French Fries, which are frozen and therefore can be stored for longer. This may well explain why a restaurant will run out of fruit bags in times of high demand. DECEMBER '07 UPDATE: McDonald's French Fries are now fully accredited by the Vegetarian Society. (December 2007)

McDonald's disagrees with you. McDonald's believes that it serves varied and tasty food at fantastic value, and with approximately two million customers served in the UK everyday, it seems that McDonald's is not the only one to think so. Now, Getting back to your flying saucer. Have you tried purchasing smaller items such as Chicken McNuggets, Fish Fingers or the Fruit Bags? These are reasonably small items that are tasty and compact. (November 2007)

8. what heahty things do yous have? ? ?
It is important to be cautious in classifying individual food items as 'healthy' or 'unhealthy.' Many nutritionists agree that it is a matter of balance, moderation and physical activity. McDonald's believe that its food can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle. The company does not believe that it should tell people what they should or should not eat. A lot of work goes into creating the menu and in providing nutritional information so that customers can make better informed choices. Recent tasty additions to the menu include Fruit Bags, Organic Milk, fresh Toasted Deli Grilled Sandwiches, Bottled Mineral Water and Carrot Sticks. (June 2007)
