Thank you for your question. Prices may sometimes vary between different McDonald’s restaurants according to whether they are company owned or franchised stores. However prices for all menu items are displayed in each restaurant. (May 2011)

2. My 3-year-old & I came to one of your restaurants and after he had his meal he was complaining of feel thirsty for the rest of the day - I myself can't eat your food for exactly the same reason. My son had a kids happy meal consisting of: chicken nuggets, chips & milkshake. What is the salt content in this whole meal?
Thanks for your question. A four piece meal of Chicken McNuggets, small French Fries and a small banana milkshake provides 1.1g of salt. If this is eaten with a 20ml portion of Heinz Tomato Ketchup it will add 0.5g of salt to the meal. 3. Hi I am asking a question on behalf of my little sister who is a massive hello kitty fan. We both recall with glee your previous hello kitty happy meals and were wondering if you had any plans to bring them back? It would absolutely delight us both if u did :) many thanks :)

4. My kids seem to have the idea that Scooby Doo is the toy in the Happy Meals soon. I know an Alvin Chipmunk promotion is currently running? Are my children right? If so, when does the Scooby Doo promotion start? Thanks
Thank you for your question. Your kids are right - the Scooby Doo promotion will follow Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 later in January. We often communicate what's coming soon, particularly on our Happy Meal box. (January 2010)

5. Can you tell me all the food & drinks you do in happy meals
Firstly apologies for the slow reply to your question, there have been some recent technical fixes that have been carried out on the site which caused a slight delay in answering your question, but the things are back on track and thank you for your patience in waiting for your reply. Now, McDonald's Happy Meal menu is full of great options for everybody to enjoy, you can choose from items such as: Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Chicken McNuggets, Fish Fingers, Carrot Sticks and French Fries. You also have a choice of beverages including: Vittel Bottled Mineral Water, Tropicana Fresh Orange Juice, Organic Milk, Milkshakes, A Sprite Z or how about a Robinson Fruit Shoot. 6. Hi, Could you tell me where i can get more info on your sales trend on kids meals and party packages please? Is it increasing recently? What is the forecast? How did you do the market reseach? I am doing a project on McDonalds. Thanks for your help.
Thank you for your question. McDonald’s market research is carried out by independent market research agencies that are regulated by the Market Research Society. Market research conducted on behalf of McDonald's is confidential and so the company is unable to share the details of particular projects and research. With regards to McDonald’s Happy Meals the average McDonald’s UK restaurant sells 1,700 Happy Meals per week. That breaks down into around 242 Happy Meals sold per day. However the amount is likely to vary daily due to changeable sales trends.

7. I was recently unformed by a McDonalds employee that you can upgrade a happy meal to a medium or even large size for an additional 30p and 60p respectively. Is this fact or fiction?
Thank you for you question. it is incorrect that you can upgrade a Happy Meal to a medium or large size. Currently McDonalds have no plans to introduce a larger Happy Meal. 8. Hello, I'm a vegetarian and am asking if you will, in future, have the alternative option for- instead of a meat Happy meal; a vegetarian option as relatives and I are in dismay as we cannot order it due to the emphasis on meat. Please reply shortly! I have seen on the internet that even your chips, which I have ordered for my entire life, are not vegetarian- is this still the case? Bethany aged 11.
Thank you for your feedback. Currently, McDonald’s believes it offers a good variety of food items that are suitable for vegetarians. You’ll be pleased to hear that McDonald’s French Fries are suitable for vegetarians and have been certified by the Vegetarian Society. There are also a number of vegetarian snack options available such as the Fruit Bag, Garden Salad and Carrot Sticks. With regards to McDonald’s vegetarian Happy Meals, this has already been trialled but didn’t prove popular at the time. 9. I find that eating a Happy Meal does not generally make me happy. Why is this?
McDonald's is sorry to hear that the Happy Meal doesn't bring a smile to your face. The Happy Meals are designed to help younger customers (and big kids) enjoy their dining experience at McDonald’s to the fullest. Part of that experience is to be happy and comfortable. If the Happy Meals don’t make you smile, why not try one of the Extra Value Meals available on the menu? Or how about a sweet treat such as a McFlurry or hot Apple Pie? Anyone of these items might just do the trick. (June 2007)
