- 1. Who really does your market research? They don't do a good job as you discontinue lines (McRib, Veggie Deluxe) which were popular with many people.

The decision to continue or discontinue products is often based on levels of demand. Some products have a very loyal but relatively small following and, unfortunately for those who love the product, this sometimes means that they become uneconomic for the company. What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 2. I've seen there are at least 7 people wondering why the McRib isn't on it's way back. I was wondering exactly why McDonalds hasn't noticed and seems to be so adamant about saying no to so many people [everyone i know loved it too!] when it would surely be a great business move?

McDonald's is always interested in hearing what customers want on the menu. And popular demand is always taken into consideration when looking at promotional food events or the return of permanent food items. The Oriental McRib was part of a Chinese themed promotion McDonald's UK ran in the nineties for a limited time only. McDonald's is pleased you enjoyed it at the time, but currently there are no plans to re-introduce the Oriental McRib to the UK menu. No, that is not the reason. The McRib was a promotional item and as such was only supposed to be available for a limited period. However, this item may well return in the future if there is sufficient demand. The Strawberry Sundae is currently a promotional item, only available for a limited period of time. The Chocolate Sundae could return in the future.

Your menu at the moment is very good, and the double quater cheese burger is out of this world! however a few years ago you did theme menus and the one I liked in particular was the chinese rib!!
