- 1. In Germany they sold Milka strawberry yoghurt mcflurry with chocolate bits in, a very tasty dessert. I know milka isnt very big in england, but could you make a similar product (mabye made by milka or cadbury) for the UK. http://images.ciao.com/ide/images/products/normal/965/product-2294965.jpg
-
McDonald's currently do not have any plans to introduce the Milka to the UK menu, sorry. When it comes to researching and making new items for the menu or even bringing them in from another country there are many factors to consider. One such is the cultural tastes, traditions and ingredients of the country. Some products may not translate as well and so are likely to be unpopular. However, please keep an eye out for new items and promotions on the menu as you may find that there is something special just for you.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 3. why do you not have vanilla milkshakes anymore?
-
Firstly, many apologies for the very slow response to your question, as the site went through a few changes and technical updates some questions had slipped through so thank you for your patience in waiting for your answer. Please continue to send in your questions and check back on the site from time to time for all the latest on Make Up Your Own Mind. In regards to your original question, the Vanilla Milkshake is still available on the menu. However, there maybe times when there is a promotional flavour available and in these cases the Vanilla Milkshake maybe removed to make room. this is only for a limited period only.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the Tropical Shakes,
They were a promotional item on the menu and as such only available for a limited period. However they may well return in the future if there is sufficient demand. If you’re really missing it you can contact the Customer Services team via the 'Contact Us' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk and let them know.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 6. Would McDonalds UK consider making a high protein milkshake for the sports/gym goer? An ideal shake would have 30 grams or more of protein- I know whey prices are increasing as dairy prices increase..so maybe casein or a protein blend, and maybe 50grams of carbohydrates. Added creatine or glutamine would also be beneficial. There is a huge and growing market for this sort of stuff in the UK. Ideally, it would be priced under £1. If you would not consider this, can you please tell me why?
-
Thanks for posting in. McDonald’s is aware that in recent years there has been growing interest in people’s perception of diet and lifestyle. Some of McDonald’s customers have also shown concerns and McDonald’s have responded with new additions to its menu such as Bottled Mineral Water, Tropicana Orange Juice and Semi-Skimmed Organic Milk. Your suggestion for a high protein shake is a good one. However, the company considers that it would not fit in with the current McDonald’s menu and the tastes of the majority of McDonald’s UK customers.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7. When you introduce a "novelty" flavour milkshake, such as rolo, why do you always sacrifice the vanilla? surely that can't be the least popular flavour? Thanks.
-
The milkshake dispenser is designed to run three flavours concurrently. Therefore, when a promotional milkshake flavour is introduced - one of them has to be sacrificed and this decision is made based on which one is the least popular flavour for the majority of customers. Unfortunately for you, this is vanilla. However, it's always reinstated when the promotion ends. (July 2007)

-
From time to time McDonald’s introduces promotional items to the menu such as a new flavour of milkshake. To accommodate this, one of the regular flavours, such as Vanilla, will make way for the new item. However, the good news is that Vanilla is now back on the milkshake menu.

-
McDonald’s takes into consideration the local traditions and tastes of the area that a restaurant operates in before creating the menu. The Shamrock Shake is currently only available in Ireland as the company feels that it would not prove popular in other parts of the UK.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 10. Why is it that when you bring out a lmited edition milkshake you always take off the vanilla? Vanilla is the only flavour I like so find it unfair.
-
Sorry to hear that you only enjoy the Vanilla Milkshake. However, McDonald’s does hope that you will try some of the new promotional flavours, such as the Mint Chocolate Milkshake that is on sale at the moment. Unfortunately there is only room for four flavours at a time in McDonald’s restaurants. This means that the least popular milkshake has to be taken off the menu so that there is room for new flavours – this is usually the Vanilla Milkshake.

-
Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the Rolo Milkshake, especially as one of the standard milkshakes had to make way for it. The good news is the Vanilla Milkshake is now back.

No, this isn’t true – the Milkshakes are very popular items. This summer McDonald’s expanded the line-up with the Limited Edition Rolo Milkshake which proved very successful and may herald some new flavours in the future.

-
McDonald’s milkshakes are of a similar quality and consistency whether here in the UK or in the US. However, it sounds like you may be referring to the extra thick Triple Shake which was launched in the US recently. McDonald’s UK currently does not have any plans introduce Triple Thick Shakes.
