- 1. Portions have been getting bigger... in 1957 the average patty was 30g... today the average is 170g. Why is this?
-
This isn’t the case at McDonald’s. The patty sizes have always been the same in the UK – 45g and 115g (frozen).

I would like to know why every time we order large fries with a meal we get a larger container which probably has the same amount as a small portion in it? It happens every time we get McDonalds (which isnt often anymore as the extra small 'large' portions do not satisfy my teenagers appetite). I have questioned this in the restaurant to be told that is the size of the portion. I think it is a rip off.. I have even taken a photo and wanted to complain online but could not find where to do it
-
Boxes and packets of French Fries should always be full. Apologies if your complaint was not dealt with at the time by the restaurant manager. If you wish to complain online, visit the ‘Contact Us’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk and the matter will be fully investigated.

-
Portion sizes in UK are designed for the UK market. Pricing is country specific and depends on a number of factors including the cost of locally-sourced raw ingredients.
