- 1. Why are most items in the poundsaver menu no longer under a pound £ ?

Firstly many apologies for the slow response to your question, as the site went through a few changes; some questions slipped through the net so thank you for your patience. The Pound Saver menu is designed to offer customers savings, not necessarily to denote items that are £1 or under. The menu starts from 69p upwards, with the majority of items priced at 99p. Some items are more substantial, such as the Double Cheeseburger, and therefore are higher in price. Some franchises may have slightly different prices, but all restaurants will have the menu in full view, with correct prices.

There are always great deals on offer at McDonald's. You can currently get the Deli Sandwich of the Day for £1.99 in many restaurants – check your local McDonald's for the different choices. There's the Pound Saver menu offering a variety of items from 69p to £1.19. Also lookout for special food events such as 'Buy One Get One Free' and special price deals. Look out for these vouchers in selected press publications, or go to www.mcdonalds.co.uk for printable vouchers.

The McDonald's Pound Saver Menu is still alive and well. The menu is updated regularly to keep the choice fresh and there is a wide variety of things that you can choose from.

Firstly that's not really pound saving it's pound stealing and secondly I'm sure that Trading Standards (TS / TSI) or the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) or even the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) would love to punish you for this with a hefty fine!!!

The Pound Saver menu represents great value and savings on selected items on the menu. The majority of items will cost £0.99, and some like the Double Cheeseburger cost a little more, but still represent value for money. Some franchises may have slightly different prices, but all restaurants will have the menu in clear view with correct prices.
