1. hi why do some mcd's not serve quarter pounders. went to asda restaurant in bournemouth and was told they did not have the facilities! surely the same facilities to cook a slightly bigger burger are used, plus must be a pretty huge seller after big mac&nuggets- so why not serve it, my favorite? thanks
Thanks for your question. They are correct to tell you it is down to grill capacity. ASDA restaurants only have one grill which does not give the capacity to sell the full range of the beef options. The reason they only have one grill is due to the size of the kitchen. A three platen grill is currently being installed in some restaurants including ASDA restaurants. The three platen grill gives the capacity to sell quarter pounders. Two ASDA stores are already doing this. (December 2010)
