How come Salads are always off the menu just lately, There are a few restaurants in my area but none of them seem to have salads available regularly even though they are still advertised. This has been the case for the past few months it is very hit and miss whether you actually get one when you order or not.

There should be no reason for the salads to be off the menu. If this happens again please bring the matter up with the restaurant manager, who will be happy to help.

It can vary a little. There is no full price listing service offered because of slight variations in prices between company owned and franchised restaurants. Prices for all menu items are displayed in each restaurant.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 4. Ranch Salad: the reason nobody liked it was because the staff ALWAYS gave a caesar dressing instead by mistake, which was horrible. I no longer buy salads since you stopped ranch, and everyone I know is the same - nobody likes the caesar! PLEASE BRING BACK RANCH - it's only a couple of sachets in the fridge!

Sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the Caesar Salad dressing. The Ranch dressing was removed from the menu as it was not popular with the majority of customers. The Ranch Salad was also different to the Caesar Salad in that its ingredients included a different cheese and bacon. The Grilled and Crispy Chicken Caesar Salads are part of the new McDonald’s menu and should always be available. They are a popular addition to the menu, however this should not restrict you from being able to order one. If enough customers want it McDonald’s will sell it. Any of the current salad range are suitable for children and customers can swap the French Fries in the Happy Meal for a Fruit Bag or the Carrot Sticks. People do buy the salads. McDonald's aims to provide plenty of choice and variety on the menu.

People do buy McDonald's salads. People like mums who have a salad when they come in with their children for a Happy Meal, or office workers looking for an alternative to their normal sandwich. McDonald's is a business remember, and it wouldn't make sense to offer something which nobody buys.

The salads haven't been scrapped and remain available and on sale. Promotional items such as the current Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese and the summer's Bigger Big Mac are on the menu purely because customers have told the company that they like them. McDonald's believes each individual is responsible for his or her own food choices. The menu offers a wide range of choice, all of which can fit into a balanced diet, and McDonald's provides a wide range of nutritional information to help customers make choices that are right for them. To answer the second part of your question first: salads were introduced because the company's customers said that they wanted a greater degree of choice on the menu - not as 'window dressing'. McDonald's core business is and always will be burgers, but customers' expectations change and the company must keep up with changes in diet. The salad business is a small but important part of the overall bottom line and has proved popular with new and existing customers. It is not possible to divulge the absolute amount as this is sensitive information.

Quite simply, a pickle is a cucumber that has been pickled in brine. A gherkin is the same thing except the cucumber has been pickled when it was still young. The only difference between the two is their size. (June 2007)

Hi ,after a trip to the states i became a regular purchaser of Ranch Salads but i have now been informed by my local Mcdonalds at Skipton North Yorkshire that they no longer sell any salad meals, so much for your healthy eating policy . Unfortunately the Ranch Salads have be taken off the menu as they were unpopular with customers here in the UK. However, the Caesar Salad and the Side Salad are still on the menu.

No. McDonald’s has no plans to stop selling the salad range. The only salad McDonald’s has removed from the menu was the Pasta Salad because it wasn’t as popular with customers. All changes to the menu have been as a result of listening to customers and McDonald’s fully intends to keep the salad range.

McDonald’s removed the Pasta Salad from the menu because it wasn’t as popular with customers. At the moment McDonald’s offers two types of salad – Ranch and Caesar – that you can order with Grilled Chicken or Crispy Chicken. These are by far the most popular salads. There is a third, the Garden Salad, which is mainly a side salad. McDonald’s is continuing to look at new recipes and ideas for salads.

There is a Garden Side Salad on the menu available to purchase with any item. McDonald’s also offers this salad as a substitute for the French Fries in the meal deals should you so wish at no additional cost.
