- 1. hi to you all at mcdonalds i was wondering have you ever comsidered in letting your customers come up with a flavouring (spices) idea for your burgers as ive got a few up my sleave it would be good to let customers suggest reciepe's then make the best idea into a reciepe for a limited period to see if they catch on
-
Firstly apologies for the delay in answering your question, the team has been very busy with all the questions that are pouring in and everybody is working hard to answer them all.
As you can imagine, McDonald's receives quite a few ideas for products and services from companies and individuals. Consequently, to avoid any misunderstandings and confusion about identifying truly new ideas as opposed to those that it has already considered, McDonald's has a strict policy of declining to consider any unsolicited ideas. While this may mean missing out on some beneficial ideas, hopefully you can appreciate there are good reasons for McDonald's adopting this policy.
However, if you have any menu suggestions you can contact the Customer Services Team via the 'Contact Us' section on www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

-
Firstly, many apologies for the very slow response to your question, as the site went through a few changes, some questions had slipped through the net, so thank you for your patience. You are welcome to have Heinz Ketchup whenever you visit McDonald's restaurants as this should be the only brand available in the restaurants. There should be no 'Fancy Ketchup' available. If you do not receive the correct ketchup please bring it to the attention of the restaurant manager.

The ingredients for the Breakfast Sauce are as follows: Vegetable Oil (Soya Bean Oil), Water, Free Range Egg Yolk, Spirit Vinegar, Modified Maize Starch, Salt, Spray Dried Glucose, Lemon Juice Concentrate, Sugar, Spices, Flavourings and Flavouring Preparations (contains Milk Derivatives, Celery and Celery Derivatives, Whey Powder, Lactose, Wheat), Stabiliser (E415 Xanthan Gum), Preservative (E202 Potassium Sorbate), Green Onion Extract, Colour (E161b Lutein).

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 7. Hi I note someone asked about vinegar and the answer was research has shown customers like the fries they way they are.. but how about the other customers who don't, you already have numerous sachets of sauces, so why not vinegar? Surely the customer should have a choice of whether they want vinegar or not.
-
Thank you for your question. McDonald's is aware that vinegar is a popular condiment with chips and has conducted research to see if its customers would be interested in having it available for their French Fries. However, after extensive efforts, the results showed that the demand for vinegar is not strong enough. Sorry. Please be aware that McDonald's values all its customers’ opinions. If the demand does grow in the future, then McDonald's will consider adding vinegar to its condiments.

-
A number of McDonald's restaurants in the UK are run by franchisees. Some of these restaurants make a small charge for sauce sachets, while many restaurants do not. The ketchup used is the same in all restaurants.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 9. your homemade mayo was horrible why is that? what is it made from?
-
It's a shame to hear that you are not enjoying the mayonnaise used in the burgers. However, McDonald's is not sure which product you are referring to specifically. The mayonnaise currently used is Hellmann's Extra Light mayonnaise which is very popular and available in the majority of grocers. McDonald's does have a similar product to mayonnaise called 'Sandwich Sauce' which is used in the McChicken Sandwich. It is a signature ingredient of the sandwich, and one which most customers enjoy. You can see find the ingredients used in the mayonnaise and sandwich sauce in the 'Ingredients List' which is in the 'Eat Smart' section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk.

What are these? Delicious Digg Reddit Facebook StumbleUpon - 11. why does McDonalds not provide sachets of low sodium salt as does, eg, Tescos, in its cafes?
-
There has never been a customer demand for low sodium salt sachets. In the majority of restaurants, the salt is added at the relevant point of the cooking process - albeit that you can always ask for your order to be cooked without salt - and so sachets are not available as separate items anyway. If you would like the company to consider a low-sodium salt option, please contact the Customer Services team by visiting the ‘Contact Us’ section at www.mcdonalds.co.uk. The team is always keen to hear your suggestions. (July 2007)
